Morning Hangover Cure with NAC
A little preparation before that big event could be just the thing to solve that morning hangover.
A hangover occurs when the liver's detoxification system is unable to keep up with a person's drinking.
The perpetrator in this whole equation is called acetaldehyde which is a toxic product of alcohol metabolism and is thought to contribute to the common symptoms of a hangover when its levels increase in the blood stream.
I won't bore you with the biochemistry of a hangover but a substance called glutathione is able to bind to acetaldehyde and excrete it from the body which translates feeling better faster.
So the big question is; how can we create a larger reserves of glutathione in preparation of drinking alcohol?
N-acetylcysteine (the rate limiting amino acid in glutathione) can push your liver to produce more glutathione so your liver won't run out and create acetaldehyde.
A little pre-party prep can go a long way!
