Do You Still Call It Greek Yogurt When You're in Greece?

I'm learning that the Greeks do a lot of things differently, yogurt included.  Greek yogurt is strained to remove a lot of the liquid whey, lactose, and sugar which gives it that delish creamy texture.  It has about the same calories of your regular yogurt but typically has less sugar and more protein, who could say no to that!  In fact, a cup (about 6 ounces) of greek yogurt has as much protein as 3 ounces of meat.  Sounds like the perfect meal and we haven't even discussed all the amazing probiotics!!!

Greek yogurt has been a staple in my diet even before moving to Greece but now it's gone to a whole new level.  I mix it in my morning smoothies, make tzatziki with it, use it as a cream substitute, or with some fruits and nuts.
