Mugwort, aka Artemisia vulgaris, an amazing women's herb used to tonify the reproductive system. It's name comes from the Greek Goddess of fertility and the forest named Artemisia.
Most commonly, it's used to treat irregular menses by increasing the blood flow to the pelvic region, relaxing the nervous system, and easing tension to promote normal menstrual flow.
This feminine plant has quite a long history dating back over 3,000 years with documented uses ranging from insomnia and menstrual cramps to headaches and fatigue.
Besides its medicinal uses, mugwort is often used in Asia as a flavoring in desserts and rice dishes.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine mugwort has bitter, pungent and warm properties which are connected to the liver, spleen, and kidney meridians. Acupuncturists also use this herb in the practice of moxibustion (when mugwort is burned in a pile on top of the needle) as a healing modality to treat a "yang" (this energy governs warmth and movement) deficiency.
