STAY HYDRATED
Drink water: the air inside the cabin of a plane usually has a humidity level of 10 to 20 %; much lower than a comfortable typical indoor humidity of 30 to 65%. For this reason, it's very important to take measures to keep yourself hydrated while you're on a plane. I love adding slices of ginger in my water to help with nausea or a little elderberry syrup to make it sweet and anti-microbial.
HERBAL FACIAL SPRAY
Bring an herbal facial spray: I love to carry lavender spray to refresh my skin while providing anti-bacterial properties from the essential oils.
BRING SNACKS
Pack snacks rich in antioxidants and vitamin C: it might be hard to pack fresh fruit and veggies but you can dehydrate them. The best way to retain the nutritional value of dehydrated foods is to carefully control the process, which means low heat during dehydration.
SLEEP
Get your sleep: it might be hard to sleep while on the go but lack of sleep decreases immunity which increases your risk of picking up a cold. Try a sleep mask.
IMMUNE HERBS
Pack a 1oz cold & flu tincture: just in case you do pick up something be prepared instead of trying to find something at a local drug store.
We recently moved to this hidden gem of a town called Ojai in California just outside of Santa Barbara. It has a style all it's own... a little bohemian, a little country, and a hint of luxe. There's only 7,000 people who live in town and the energy is incredibly healing. It's all about local businesses and boutiques here in Ojai since the town actually prohibited chain stores within the city!
