I have always been a Vitamix, Juicing, dehydrating, kinda gal but things are changing with my new found freedom from medical school. I'm putting together a weekly list of everything I'm going to make for the week and surprisingly, I'm getting excited! I'm thinking free-range organic garlic chicken, bean casseroles, and Indian dishes with lots of turmeric.
But as I begin to plan my weekly recipes, I begin to think on a deeper level and ask where is my food coming from?
If I go to the local grocery store will I be getting local food?
Can I trace my food back to the farm where it originated?
What is real food anymore? Does it mean natural? Does it mean organic?…
