Pumpkins are loaded with natural exfoliating acids and antioxidants which translates into smoother, brighter, glowing skin!
APPLY THE PULP TO YOUR SKIN
The pulp can be used as a facial mask which can soothe breakouts and decrease fine lines & wrinkles. Besides being rich in vitamin E and zinc, they also contain torulitine which is a powerful combination to decrease inflammation, reduce pore size, and give you that glowing look!
TRY IT: Simply mix 1/4th cup pumpkin, 1/2 teaspoon of honey, and 1 teaspoon coconut milk. Apply this luscious mask for 20 minutes and rinse.
MIX IT INTO YOUR SCRUB FOR ADDED EXFOLIATION
TONE IT UP
Pumpkin can also be used with your favorite herbal toner! One of my favorite combinations is Calendula, Pumpkin, and Chamomile. Calendula and chamomile are amazing for your skin because they are both antibacterial, soothing, and nourishing. Adding a hint of pumpkin will have your skin looking luminous for the rest of the day.
TRY IT: Blend 1/2 cup of chamomile tea and 1/2 cup of calendula tea to 1/2 teaspoon of fresh pumpkin. Soak a cotton ball and apply it to your skin and let it dry.
